Hi, I’m Tina

Coach – Teacher -Mentor

At the core of my work – be it as a coach supporting mothers or as a teacher and mentor to aspiring coaches – is a deep commitment to supporting people to embrace their true, unique selves and be empowered to make positive changes.

I hold a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and am also a trainer, a facilitator, and a mentor. I am passionate about working with women in transition, having undertaken many transitions herself, juggling work and family commitments across three continents over the past thirty years.

Why I love what I do

Women face ongoing, multiple transitions as they navigate their intertwining family and professional worlds. I create a supported, safe space which allows women to devote the time and energy they need for themselves. In a supported space where my clients are given permission to be their true, imperfect, unique selves, free of judgement, blame and expectation. In this space my clients are more effectively able to plot the course to their own happiest life. In being able to truly connect with what we value most we are more able to be brave and be empowered to follow our own unique path to positive change.

I have particularly enjoyed my recent work with the UK Armed Forces Spouses in a Personal Development programme I designed for them, as they are not only facing multiple transitions, but also have the added stresses which comes with having a serving spouse.

Becoming a coach

I hold both a Bachelor of Science Degree with honours (Monash University, Melbourne) and a Graduate Diploma of Environmental Management (Deakin University, Melbourne), I spent over a decade making a difference in the environmental sustainability field in both Australia and the UK. Empowering groups and individuals through facilitation, I made a natural transition to the coaching world, and undertook research into the impact of combining sound facilitation techniques with coaching. I use this very powerful combination to create bespoke group coaching and training programmes for my clients.  These programmes alongside one to one coaching inspire my clients to reach their full potential in any direction they choose: career transition, creating space for their own wellbeing, focusing on family or pursuing lifelong goals. My depth of global experience across many sectors such as policy, strategic planning and on the ground action informs my already systemic way of thinking. Wide travels combined with expat experiences on three continents have nurtured my empathy and curiosity. I take every opportunity to be involved in projects that will make a real difference to people’s lives.

Why did I become a coach?

I’ve been a mum for 19 years and a coach for 8, the reason I became a coach was because I was struggling myself… I spent years trying to reconcile how I felt about parenting with what I thought was expected of me by my family, society and the world.

All of this makes me an expert in helping you to gain the clarity, focus, confidence and a plan; to let go of the worry, and sink into the joy of parenting and while creating something else for yourself.

Let me help you to find your unique way to balance being a parent with living the life you want.

Through this process of finding my own way I become an internationally certified coach with the International Coach Foundation (ICF), the gold standard in coaching. I discovered an enormous joy and satisfaction in helping other parents find their own path – unique to them, which will allow them to be the parent they want to be while leading the life that they choose for themselves.  I have coached hundreds of clients both 1:1 and in groups, with a total of over 550 hours under my belt, so you can be sure that you are in good hands! Head over to my testimonials page if you would like to see what my clients say about me!

Am I the right support for you?

I have been here in your shoes many times… looking for support at different points in my own journey. Really, the only way to know if we ‘click’ will be to have a chat and get to know each other. I would love us to have a FREE 30 minute discovery session so we can see if we would be a good fit to work together.

What else might you like to know?

I grew up on a farm in South East Victoria, Australia. I started out my professional life as an Aquatic Ecologist which combined my love of nature and curiosity about the world. I have lived on three continents, currently living with my family in England. My core desired feelings that I strive for each and every day are to feel generous, free, radiant, passionate, adventurous and creative.

I’m Australian

I grew up on a farm in South East Victoria, and often still feel like this curious little girl…

I’m curious

We were always getting up to plenty of mischief… just like all kids 🙂 Luckily we had a whole farm to explore

Simpler times…

I’m a gardener

I love water, nature, gardening, and reading! I also have an insatiable curiosity about the world!

I’m a sister

My mum was the farmer, and is still the most amazing woman I know. She has retired from farming these days, which thankfully allows her to come and visit me in whichever country we happen to be living in 🙂

One of my greatest pleasures is watching plants grow.  I find it hugely relaxing to get grounded and get my hands in the soil…

I’m a daughter

I have been lucky enough to have amazing parents, who brought up four kids…(I am number 3!)

My Mum is the reason I have kept such a close bond to the earth. I originally studied ecology at University and love to grow plants of all kinds, but most of all fruits & vegetables. Wholefoods are very much a family tradition. In an ideal world I would have a huge garden and to grow most of what we eat… sadly a small backyard and other things to ‘balance’ means I don’t get to do this…

I’m a student of the world!

I loved school and threw myself into it, hungry for knowledge. For as long as I can remember I have yearned to see the world. I was the first in our family to head off to University in the ‘Big Smoke’ of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, where I met my now husband, Vaughan.

I’m still curious

I have always had an insatiable curiosity about the world, nature, culture, people. I have been lucky enough to be able to travel to over 40 countries and live in 3. Still curious and as my boys tell me ‘a bit crazy!’

I’m a mother

The hardest, and yet the most rewarding part of my life is being a mum. Becoming a mum really did change my life, my values and my view of the world. Probably the hardest part is knowing I have to let them go…

I’m creative

I’m a wife

I have been married to this amazing man for 28 years… He makes me braver and I love the life we have created together… not that it is always easy, but it is always worth the effort!

Growing up on the farm, among a farming community has made me resourceful.  I hate waste of any kind and am always looking to make creative innovations to whatever projects I have on the go. I love my mosaic table that I created inspired by our memories of living in Brazil. I love cooking and experimenting with all types of foods. Connecting with other creative people really gets me excited!
